About Kevin
Originally from Timaru Kevin moved to Auckland in 1988 as a Systems Design Consultant with Telecom, focusing on communication solutions for the corporate market. However, he quickly discovered that sales was where his passion lay so transferred to a role as Telecom Sales Rep in the small to medium business market. Over the next 8 years he held various roles with Telecom.
Kevin moved back to the South Island in 1997 as Branch Manager, GDC Communications, Christchurch. Although a small operation at the time he managed to grow and diversify the business significantly over the next 5 years.
In 2003 he started with Crane Distribution NZ as Branch Manager, Corys Electrical, Riccarton focusing on delivering solutions to the electrical market. This included industrial, commercial and domestic customers. In 2008 he moved to Humes Pipelines Systems, Southern District Manager where he was responsible for all merchandising through 11 sales centres from Kapiti to Invercargill and was directly responsible for the personnel developments of 11 Sales Centre Managers.
Kevin has a strong eye for detail and dedication to quality and has the ability to deliver new products to market through focused growth strategies and initiatives. He is a local 'lad' and understands the needs of the local market. This is a big investment for Topcoat Specialist Coatings Limited and its venture into the Southern region will be spearheaded by Kevin over the coming months. He will be responsible for getting the business up and running in the South Island focusing on Christchurch in the short term.
