For the refurbishment of the Deli/Noodle Bar in the Sky City Main Gaming Floor, Moller Architects worked closely with Topcoat to source a suitable product for a low maintenance, low odour, robust floor surface. The product was required to closely match a vivid colour palette that had been provided by the Las Vegas concept architects Friedmutter Group. Topcoat produced a number of trial colour and material samples with the final approved product being Sikafloor 261.
The product was laid over concrete substrate that contained floor ducts in some locations requiring special attention to avoid potential movement cracking through the finished surface. Topcoat's team worked diligently throughout the process and their expertise and knowledge ensured this intricate floor installation ran smoothly. The floor was laid in December 2006 and has performed well with high volume patron usage and associated regular cleaning.
