One of the requirements for our new showroom was to have a coated floor that would enhance our boat display and give good light reflection. At the same time we needed a tough finish to enable us to park the boats and move them around in tight manoeuvres without damaging the floor.

Luxury boats need luxury floors
When you're a successful supplier to the multi-million dollar marine industry, attention to detail is paramount.
That's why Auckland-based Rayglass Boats chose a quality flooring system for their production warehouse – opting for Resene's hard-wearing and stylish Uracryl system.
Rayglass Boats are New Zealand designers and manufacturers of a wide range of award-winning power boats for pleasure, fishing and work. They also supply work boats and tenders for the Louis Vuitton and America's Cup organisations, as well as super yachts visiting Auckland.
When it came time to re-floor their Mt Wellington production warehouse, Rayglass teamed up with the industry-leading applicators, Topcoat Specialist Coatings Ltd. Topcoat had previously provided the same system for three of the RayGlass manufacturing plants – as well a super-stylish yet hardwearing gloss floor in their showroom.
According to Topcoat's Director, Peter Shepherd, the Uracryl system offers several key benefits. It's UV-resistant, with excellent adhesive properties, and is available in a range of colours and gloss levels; as well as a clear finish which is ideal for polished concrete.
"It's a tough floor which is suitable for a range of workshop or factory floor environments."
Rayglass CEO, Tony Hembrow, says the Uracryl system has been the best they've found.
"We've trialled other products over the years and nothing seems to stand up like this one," says Tony. "What we like is the ability to clean it easily – as our industry creates a lot of dust. I'd recommend it to any manufacturer that has to cope with dust or oil on their floors."
Having the system applied by a specialist like Topcoat also ensured a great result.
